Webinar Description:
Asset Purchases provides an overview of utility asset purchases and how capital expenditures fit into the overall budget. This webinar approaches budgeting for the utility from a long-term perspective and explores basic composite depreciation concepts. These concepts and others discussed will bolster your ability to plan, review, and approve the work plan; determine the capital budget and expenditures; and pay for capital purchases through the rate structure.
This course is part of the Board Governance Series, a collection of webinars designed to help board members of all experience levels define, guide, and support the needs and best interests of their utility and its consumers.

Note: Organizations that register a group of employees will receive every fifth registration for free. For example, if you register five employees, you only pay for four; register 10 employees, you only pay for eight; and so on. There is nothing additional you need to do to receive this discount.
Cancellation Policies:
For webinars, virtual classes, and section meetings: cancellation at least five days prior to the event, full refund; within 1-4 days or no show, 100% of the registration fee.
For in-person events: cancellation at least 30 days prior to the event, full refund; within 15-29 days, $100 fee; and within 1-14 days or no show, 100% of the registration fee.

Continuing Hours:
